A welcome addition to the Lena Street community, La Lecheria is serving up house-made craft ice cream in unusual flavors and combinations. Chef Joel Coleman found an eager audience for his all-natural ice cream concoctions at Fire and Hops, the gastropub he co-owns and operates in Santa Fe. In the spring of 2016, he opened up shop in our new two-story loft (1708 Lena Street, Unit #101).

Coleman takes inspiration from his everyday surroundings here in Santa Fe, and also draws on his experience in professional kitchens from Hawaii to San Francisco to Portland. His international adventures have informed his flavor options with exotic spices and unusual combinations. Whenever possible, ingredients are sourced locally through the Santa Fe Farmers Market and local vendors.

The regular flavor lineup includes Classic Vanilla, Iconik Coffee, Mint Chip and Chocolate Sea Salt. Seasonal flavors such as Green Chile, Avocado, Earl Gray, Sunset (Orange and Chocolate) and CoconutMiso are available on rotation. Local contests help name seasonal flavors–a recent winner was Rosamary Caramel Pistachio. Try a flight of four scoops, and when you find your favorite take a pint of it home with you.
